Maintenance – Internet Browsers, IE Problem

Hello. My name is Cyse, and Danny has assigned me to be in charge of making maintenance announcements. This is for reporting various technical things that do not necessarily pertain to new content such as artwork or videos.

The site has currently been tested on Firefox 3.6.3, Internet Explorer 8.0.6001.18702, Google Chrome 5.0.375.70, Safari 5.0 (7533.16), and Opera 10.53. The only browser experiencing problems at the moment is Internet Explorer, where the main window is showing up below the menu window. Danny would like everyone to know he is aware of the problem and is attempting to fix it. It should be known that DannyKang.net is best viewed in Firefox, with a resolution of at least 1280×1024.

How’s it going man? From my website making days its always been a bit of a pain to try and get all the different browsers working properly and Internet Explorer seems to be Usual Suspect on this front. I’ve been accessing your site with Firefox and had no problems.

I did make it to the RISD Senior show this year and made an image gallery of some of the notable works on my website if you want to check it out. Not a ton of animated work, but some very strong entries.

What are you working on these days?

  Hey Chris,
  I’ve only gotten a chance to look at some of the animations at this years senior show. Hopefully I can grab a copy of the dvd off someone and watch the rest. I took a look at your website for some of the notables to keep an eye out for.
  
  Besides my next film, I’ve been of course sketching, designing, etc. I’ll have some new sketchbook pages to upload very soon, once I get a chance to scan them in. I’ve also been planning a major “project” with some of my risd friends. It’s an artist group of sorts where we can collaborate on projects. We’ll be designing a website for that as well, so something to look forward to! I’m also planning on doing a series of quick animations 1-for practice, improvement, and to keep myself from getting rusty and 2-to build up some more stuff for my demoreel. Finally, once I get some of those animations done, I’ll be updating my demoreel soon with the wordgirl stuff I’ve been freelancing for.

    Like the sound of what is on the horizon! Go through a few pages of your sketchbook that you have posted on the site, really dig the mixed media and journal elements to it. The really is an art form to a good sketchbook and there could easily be prints made from those pages. The studies especially, really great stuff.
    
    New project with RISD crew is definitely intriguing. If there is ever anything I could throw in to the mix to help out let me know! I’d be psyched to collaborate, whether it be with some writing (I’ve written a few screenplays to date) or any other type of design work. I’m still storyboarding the feature length script I’m working on now and am up to about 25% of the shots planned out.
    
    Would absolutely encourage you to make a series of quick animations and to keep working on your craft. What was it like working on Wordgirl?
