I recently started illustrating a new web comic called “Fixer” in collaboration with Tainted Reality.  Here’s a teaser illustration I made along with a summary of the comic.

Tainted Reality’s first ever self produced webcomic series. Illustrated by Danny Kang and written by Roger Shackelford, Fixer is the story of an American / Japanese band that forms in 1999. Driven by both ambition and deep seeded emotional trauma, the band eventually become rock and roll legends… but at what cost? Characters and back stories will be revealed in the coming months, leading up to the comic’s release date on January 5th, 2012.

Tainted Reality is a subculture entertainment organization that promotes and organizes tours of Japanese rock bands in the United States such as Blood, Suicide Ali, The Candy Spooky Theater and GPKism, to name their most famous. They have also managed Luzmelt, lix, Seileen / DJ SiSeN, the Sound Bee HD, Takuya Angel and many others.  Danny how did you get involved with this project?

I was standing in line for the Girugamesh concert when I was interviewed by two Tainted Reality staff members for a fashion video blog.  I gave them my card and a week later, I was contacted with this offer!

I’m certainly glad I brought them with me.  There’s now a Fixer page under the Digital Artwork section with a link to Tainted Reality.  I also included the teaser image under illustrations.

.

As the image says, “Fixer” will be officially released on January 5th, 2012! But stay tuned as we will continue bringing updates and news regarding the project~
