Yo, Danny here!  Today I will be introducing a new category of posts – Danny’s Picks!  These will be quick posts sharing my personal favorites from around the web.  Mind blowing animation skills, rare hard to find underground or independent animation, artistic anime openings, bad ass fight scenes, behind the scenes making of videos, it’ll all be here!

So let’s get started!  To celebrate this first post, today’s pick will be a bit longer than usual.  ”That Scene was Awesome: Japan’s Iron Animators (Sakuga Anime),” is a panel talk that was shown at Anime Central 2011 where they explain and play examples of “Sakuga” or key scenes in anime that get higher quality and is done by one amazing animator.  They highlight many of my favorite animators and show many clips I wanted to show on Danny’s Picks anyway, but this video gives a really nice introduction and history to Sakuga and saves me the trouble of explaining it all myself~  Enjoy!
