Hey all, got a new Danny’s Pick!  This is something Don Herdzfeldt animated for the “Animation Show of Shows” – a collection of short animated films curated by him and Mike Judge- and was interspersed throughout the collection as the respective introduction, intermission and ending.  Many of you may know him from some of his other films “Rejected” “Billy’s Balloon” or possibly his newer films “Everything Will Be Ok” and “I Am So Proud Of You.”

In hindsight, this would’ve been perfect as the first Danny’s Picks, but hey better late than never huh?  Don has an animation style that is deceptively simple with a wonderful sense of timing both in animation and in humor.  His newest films “Everything Will Be Ok” and “I Am So Proud Of You” strike a very deep and profound note that his earlier films did not have.  They’re part of a trilogy of new films, with the last installment “It’s Such a Beautiful Day” premiering in autumn 2011.  Keep your eye out for it!
