This is a new teaser illustration for Fixer, the web-comic I’m illustrating for Tainted Reality!

In addition, we have a bit more news on Nekocon, the anime convention Danny will be going to in November.  Here’s the news as seen on Tainted Reality.

Tainted Reality will be letting out the first bit of information on our very first self-produced web-comic “Fixer” at this year’s Nekocon. Writer Roger Shackelford and artist Danny Kang will be appearing at the Tainted Reality panel to give fans their first taste of the comic by discussing it’s origins, characters, plot, and showing a short documentary film. They will also have a table in the artist ally where the introductory chapter will be made readable to fans, and artist Danny Kang will be taking commissions. Nekocon will be held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center in Hampton, VA on November 4th-6th. For more information, check out Nekocon’s official website.

In other update news, we’ve made a few changes to the site users may have noticed.  First, we’ve added a new “read more” image button, instead of the tiny “click here to read more” text link.  Post tags have also been streamlined to be more usable and understandable.  Further, youtube videos are now embedded using the standard youtube viewer.  Why the change Danny?

When I first started the site, the standard youtube player was white, making it very ugly on my site and there was a permanent youtube logo on the lower right.  However, there were two problems with the skinned player, 1-the player controls didn’t hide when fullscreening and 2-there were no options to switch resolutions.  Youtube updated to a dark player and the logo now hides when the video starts playing, so I decided it was time to switch back.  With the new standard youtube embed, you have a decent looking player that gives you more viewing control with resolutions, captions and annotations without a watermark logo bothering you.

A-as always quite a long technical explanation huh Danny…  Well, on a final note all posts will now automatically be posted to Danny’s twitter account, in case anyone wanted an easy way to keep up with new posts.  As a reminder, you can also see us on facebook or subscribe to the rss feed!
