Hi everyone!  Today, I’d like to relive an amazing moment from Dragonball Z - the first time Goku unveils Super Saiyajin 3!  (aka Super Saiyan 3)  You can turn off the scrolling comments by the speech button on the bottom right of the video.  (This video is actually mirrored from the original version)

The back story here is that Majin Buu is heading to destroy West City, in an attempt to flush out Goten, Trunks and Piccolo who interfered in an earlier fight between Vegeta and Majin Buu.  Realizing that the only way to find the Dragonballs – the Dragon Radar – is at Bulma’s house in West City, Trunks is deployed to retrieve it.  However, Goku is forced to buy Trunks some time and so teleports in front of Buu. Babidi allows everyone in the world to watch through him via his magic, thus why you see everyone else closing their eyes.

OOOOOHHHH THE POWERRRRRRR~!!!!!!  A big part of what made Dragonball so amazing as a kid is the feeling of powering up and going beyond your limits.  This clip was literally a religious experience for me as a child!  (well… every new Saiyajin transformation was unbelievable)  Goku later states that he probably could’ve defeated Buu but didn’t because he wanted to spend his remaining time on earth teaching Goten and Trunks fusion.  He can’t stay the earth’s defender forever and felt it important to teach the two promising young kids.
