Danny’s Picks – Spriggan Fight Scene
Hello everyone to this weeks Danny’s Picks! Today I’d like to share with you an amazingly animated scene from the movie “Spriggan.” Spriggan (スプリガン) is a manga series written by Hiroshi Takashige and illustrated by Ryōji Minagawa during the early 1990s and then turned into an anime film by Studio 4°C in 1998. The movie was directed and story boarded by Hirotsugu Kawasaki, written by Kawasaki and Yasutaka Itō, and supervised by Katsuhiro Otomo. Hiroshi Takashige and Ryoji Minagawa had a hand in assisting the director through production.
As you can see, the animation quality here is really top notch with fluid movements, dynamic angles and even perfectly timed cuts between shots! I particularly love the shots with quick, hard hitting moments like 0:39 and drifting camera angles like at 1:11 or 1:26. If you’re looking for an amazing movie with some down right crazy animation, look no further!
