Hello everyone to a special Danny’s Picks!  Why is it special?  Because today I will be sharing the first musical selection of Danny’s Picks!  Now, readers will know that my site focuses a lot on anime and music.  They’ll also know that Danny’s Picks is about sharing videos that give viewers the chance to be introduced to something new or have another look at something amazing.  Well, what better fit than a visual kei band playing a cover of a classic anime theme song?  Yes, you heard right, this is A(エース) with their cover song of Neon Genesis Evangelion’s “Cruel Angel’s Thesis!”

YES! The band’s name “A” stands for Anonymous Confederate Ensemble and is pronounced Ace.  While nothing can ever replace one of the most symbolic songs of anime history, this rock cover is a very original version that’s a lot of fun to listen to.  For the heck of it, I’ll also throw in the original anime OP of Evangelion so people can relive that as well!
