Hey everyone, Marina and Danny here to give our blog post on Anime Boston 2012! This year’s convention was held at the Hynes Convention Center from April 6-8th.
.
Heya!
.
.
We have a lot of stuff to share with everyone, so let’s start from the be-
.
.
Ahahahaha… well uh… about that…
.
.
?
.
.
I got really absorbed with working at my artist table and was so busy talking all weekend, I didn’t take as many pics as usual! Sorry about that everyone…
.
So… we have nothing to blog about?
.
.
Well I took SOME pics haha… uh… no videos though…
.
.
Well, we’ll have to settle for that. But this intro’s way too long, I bet everyone’s stopped reading this by now.
Hello everyone! Marina and Danny here to give you our latest concert blog post! Danny, can you let everyone know today’s band?
.
.
EXIST TRACE~!!!
.
.
This show was at the Hiro Ballroom on Sunday, March 18th, 2012. Here’s a description of the band from wiki for anyone unfamiliar with them:
Exist Trace (often stylized as exist†trace) are a Japanese visual kei metal band, consisting entirely of female members. They’re from Tokyo, and initially formed in June 2003.
To date, the band has released five singles, four EPs, and a compilation album. Exist Trace has also appeared on ten omnibus albums as well as two live DVDs featuring several bands on the Shizuoka-based Sequence Records label. Exist Trace released a new EP on October 21, 2009, entitled Ambivalent Symphony.
Exist Trace made their U.S. debut at Sakura-Con 2011 in Seattle, Washington. On June 15, 2011 they released their major label debut on Tokuma Japan Communications, the EP True.
I’ve been a fan of Exist Trace for a very long time now, in fact, since way back when they first formed! So I was very happy watching them gain in popularity as well as super excited when I heard they were coming to New York! Here’s a few pics I snapped before the show.
.
As crazy looking as ever huh? Well I’m sure everyone’s eager to watch all the videos, so let’s get right to it, shall we?
.
.
I recorded nearly the entire concert, hope you all enjoy! As usual, I simultaneously headbanged while recording at times, so apologies for the occasional crazy camera work.
.
You and you’re headbanging…

Hello everyone and welcome to Danny’s blog on the 2011 New York concert of The Birthday Massacre and Dir En Grey!
.
.
Wassup everyone!
.
.
This concert took place on December 12th at Irving Plaza. First off, here’s some pics of the venue Danny took before the concert started!
.
.
I ended up leaving the house a bit late because I had some work to take care of, but I was fortunate enough to have some friends who lined up early and saved a spot for me! I ended up pretty close to the front, as you’ll see in the videos.
Hey everyone~ Marina here with Danny to give our latest blog on Anime USA! This year’s convention was held on November 18-20 at Hyatt Regency Crystal City in Arlington, Virginia.
.
H-hello everyone… *cough cough*
.
.
What the?!? Danny what happened to you???
.
.
I ended up catching the flu right before this convention. *cough cough*
Hello everyone to another of Danny’s Blogs. Today, we have a post on a recent Hatsune Miku Concert Stream that was playing in a movie theater in New York City on November 10th!
.
For those that don’t know, Hatsune Miku is part of VOCALOID, a series of voice synthesizer programs with anime character personas. This was a special event where they screened Miku’s Concert on August 16–17 in Sapporo, Hokkaido. I’ve recorded almost all of the concert for you all, but I’ll only pick out some highlights. Sorry for the constant auto focus issues, my camera just does that. If you’d like to watch the whole thing in all it’s original glory, get the dvd~!
We hope you en- HEY WAIT, ISN’T THAT BOOTLEGGING?!?
.
.
Eh!? uh… no no no no I’m not selling it or anything and it isn’t the whole show anyway and uh…
.
.
Well, whatever. Just don’t get thrown in jail over this blog…
.
.
Ha…hahaha… don’t know what you’re talking about, because this clearly isn’t bootlegging. It’s sharing, you know? Sharing. Nothing wrong with that… right? Right?
Hello everyone and welcome to Danny’s blog on Nekocon 2011! Officially known as Nekocon 14, the convention was held at Hampton Roads Convention Center in Virginia from November 4th – 6th.
.
This convention featured the first of many things for me, including having a panel and booth for Fixer, modeling in a fashion show, meeting the featured band and so much more! But let’s start at the beginning, shall we?
.
Danny traveled down to the convention center the day before the con on Thursday to get his badge, check into his hotel and meet the other guests, Takuya Angel and BORN!
.
BORN~!!!
.
.
Danny’s a big fan of BORN, so he was really psyched to not only see them in concert, but to hang out with them!
Hello and welcome to Danny’s blog on the 2011 New York Miyavi Concert!

As usual, Danny’s still overly happy about his concert experience…
