Hello everyone and welcome to Danny’s blog on…
NEW YORK COMIC CON~!!!
This year’s Comic Con took place from October 6th to October 9th at the Jacob Javits Center. Let’s start the blog right away with Thursday!
The first thing I did was go to Square Enix’s Final Fantasy XV demo. While Square’s booth was on the main show floor, the FFXV demo was actually off in another section to the side of the building. They only gave out about 300 tickets a day because the demo was 45 minutes long!
45 minutes?? That’s pretty long for a video game demo!
Playing 45 minutes of Final Fantasy XV is a great way to start a convention! They gave out a different shirt each day but with so little tickets being given out, they asked that you only get 1 shirt for the convention. Luckily, I liked Thursday’s shirt best!
Welcome everyone to Danny’s blog on New York Comic Con 2015~! This year’s convention was once again held at the Jacob Javitz Center on Octo-
KAGE BUNSHIN NO JUTSU!!!!
Hey hey hey, can you not interrupt me on the first line? I know you’re excited and all…
*Ahem* So as I was saying, this year’s convention was held on October 8 – 11. As you may have guessed from his initial outburst, the main spotlight of this year’s NYCC was none other than the creator of Naruto, Masashi Kishimoto!
Kishimoto-sensei had a panel Thursday afternoon on the main stage, so the first thing I did when I arrived was line up for that. Luckily though, NYCC had a system where you could get a wristband for the panel and then come back later, so you could see the rest of the convention. In past years, you’d have to stay in line the whole day!
The scary thing is I’m sure you would’ve been willing to do that…
Hi everyone and welcome to Danny’s blog post on the Hatsune Miku concert in New York! As always, I’m your host, Marina~
Danny here, welcome!
So Danny, what can you tell us about this concert?
This concert was part of the HATSUNE MIKU EXPO 2014 in LOS ANGELES and NEW YORK tour, with showtimes in LA on October 11th and 12th and in New York on October 17th and 18th (Vocaloid Wiki link here). I went to the October 18th show, held at the Hammerstein Ballroom. But before the concert, I went to the Hatsune Miku exhibition show at Wallplay art gallery, which was open for the week leading up to the show.
Hey everyone! Welcome to Danny’s blog on the X Japan concert at Madison Square Garden! This concert took place on October 11th, 2014.
WE ARE X!!!
Danny seems to still be quite pumped from the show.
I had to miss a day of NYCC, but it was obviously well worth it! The day started off pretty typical for a concert – lining up early and eagerly waiting in anticipation. Of course with this being X Japan in MSG of all places, the whole thing had a very special spin on it. Here’s some photos I snapped before the show.
Welcome everyone to this year’s blog on…
NEW YORK COMIC CON 2014!!!!
This year’s NYCC was held on October 9-12 and was once again held at the Jacob K. Javits Center in New York City. Wait, doesn’t this mean it overlaps with a concert you said you were going to on Saturday?
Yeah, there was an X Japan concert at Madison Square Garden that Saturday, so I had to miss a day to line up for that.
Ah… b-but I’m sure you packed in enough fun the other three days, right? Oh! Wasn’t this the first year you got yourself a professional badge?
That’s right! I got it for my work animating on Wordgirl. Check it out, snazzy, huh?
Yes yes, it’s very snazzy.
So easy to manipulate…
