Update – Fixer Chapter 2 Mamoru

Update – Quotes

Hey everyone, we’d like to share a new feature of the site today!  You’ll notice that at the bottom of the left menu, there now features a quote!  This quote randomizes to a new quote when you hit refresh on your browser.  Danny will occasionally share inspirational quotes on his Facebook fan page, which will then go into the circulation library on the site.

All the quotes will be lines that have heavily influenced and inspired me from artists, singers, films to anime, manga and video games.  In fact, there will even be a few from yours truly, taken from my sketchbook and writings!

This quote is by Gackt, my personal hero, and basically embodies everything he’s done for me and what I inspire to be for other people.  He talks about how taking the next step down the path of your true life takes an incredible amount of courage, but through his music he hopes to gently shine a light through the uncertainty of night.  Enjoy!

Update – Music Section, Category Homepage

Hey everyone!  Today we’ve got a website update to share with you all!

That’s right, today I’ve added a new section to the site.  Introducing… the Music Section!  You can now listen to any and all music from my films, starting with the soundtrack to Kensho~!!

.

Kensho OST

This soundtrack was composed by the incredible Dione Tan, specifically for Kensho!  It features two songs, the “Main Theme” of Kensho and the “Credits” song and as a special gift to you all, we’ve also included the “first draft versions” of both songs!

.

The first draft versions are the files that Dione first sent to me at the beginning of the project when I still only had a rough version of Kensho done.  As I went forward on the project, we continued going back and forth refining the music until you have the final pieces showcased in the film.  You can see that the overall feel of the pieces are pretty much intact, but there was a lot of fine tuning done – things like exact timing of notes to the film, adding or taking out certain musical instruments, etc. read more

This illustration features Mamoru Kageyama, Fixer’s bassist.  Having grown up within the music industry, Mamoru writes many of the band’s songs, as alluded to in this poster.
