Danny is a professional animator and illustrator who graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design with a B.F.A in Film/Animation/Video in 2009. After graduating, he animated for the emmy winning PBS kids show “Wordgirl,” while his senior thesis film “Kensho” screened at animation festivals around the world. He then worked with Tainted Reality to illustrate “Fixer,” a web comic series about an American/Japanese rock band which toured multiple conventions along the east coast. He is currently freelancing while in production of an original comic book series. His artwork style blends anime aesthetics with fine arts, often based on his interests in animation, manga, video games, philosophy and martial arts.
“I am an artist. I believe that art is not just art and that music is not just music. These forms of expression connect us to a world created by our thoughts, emotions and dreams – our unconscious world of self. However, there is an immense difference between simply carrying this world within us and being aware of it. I seek to create art that dives into the vastness of the human soul; to resurface and kindle feelings we never knew we had. I seek to create artwork that touches us, that provokes us and ultimately changes us.“
