"When a fox reaches the age of fifty, it is able to transform into a woman. At a hundred years old, a beauty or a female shaman [...] At a thousand years, the fox connects with the Sky and is transformed into the Sky Fox..."

This piece depicts the ritualistic moment a fox transcends beyond her mortal flesh. Leaving only bones behind, her spirit transforms into a nine-tailed Tenko, the highest form of the fox spirit known as a Sky Fox or Celestial Fox, and ascends to the heavens as a deity.

"次元上昇" (jigen jōshō) is most commonly translated as ascension/dimensional shift, or elevation of consciousness/dimensionality in spiritual contexts. It refers to moving to a higher dimension or state of being.
